Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced in February that Galaxy AI features, originally available on the Samsung Galaxy S24 series-flagship smartphones, will be made available on more Galaxy devices via the new One UI 6.1 update. The update became available on the Galaxy S23, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5 and Tab S9 series in late March this year.

Since the release of the new software update, Samsung has seen 8.8 million users download it and actively use the Galaxy AI features on their smartphone. Usage numbers are growing daily and by the end of 2024, Samsung expects over 100 million users to be utilizing Galaxy AI features around the world.

With even more Galaxy users now able to take advantage of Galaxy AI features that make communication easier, favorite features are already starting to stand out among the new features available. The AI features that have been used most frequently since the launch of Galaxy AI include features such as Live Translation in supported languages (Greek is not supported), Live Transcription, Chat Assist, and Circle for Google Search.

Almost 75% of Galaxy Z Fold5 users, 80% of S23 Ultra users and almost 65% of Tab S9 users across Europe have downloaded the One UI 6.1 update, making it one of Samsung's most popular software updates.

With the success of the first release of One UI 6.1, Samsung announces the second phase launch, bringing Galaxy AI to even more Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Coverage will be extended to the Galaxy S22 series, the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 foldables, and the Galaxy Tab S8 series tablets, starting in May.
