Local Access and Domestic circuits

PrimeTel’s private line provides optimum transmission path on our optical fibre backbone across Cyprus for private digital data lines. Domestic Data Private Line services are designed for high-bandwidth voice, data and video applications. Customer data is transported securely through dedicated end-to-end facilities with the benefit of a single point of contact for service and support, eliminating the need for multi-vendor provisioning. PrimeTel’s extensive domestic footprint combined with an improved cost structure enables us to bring to the marketplace a portfolio of metro and long-haul end-to-end transport solutions that allow wholesale customers to increase their operating margins while passing savings on to their end users.

Domestic Ethernet Services

Ethernet Circuits

Point to Point connection between customers’ locations. It is a completely switched (Layer2) and it can be used for transferring any kind of data (Internet, Voice, Video) between customer locations.

The Service is delivered using PrimeTel’s CPE, with an Ethernet cable terminating on the customer’s router or switch. The customer can use any IP scheme or any dynamic routing protocol that suits the requirements.

Network Based VPN

Network-based VPN is an ADSL based product that creates a secure network between customer locations. There is no limitation on the sites that a customer can connect. It is secure, flexible and scalable to any size.

It can be used to transfer data, IP telephony, Video and CCTV. The service is delivered using PrimeTel’s CPE on both locations and an Ethernet cable terminated on the customer’s router or switch. This allows the customer to use its existing, or new IP addressing scheme, or even the use of dynamic routing protocols.

Multipoint Ethernet Circuit

Unique product offered only by PrimeTel. It is similar in topology to the Network-based-VPN but this product is completely switched (Layer2).

It is ideal for Disaster Recovery and Video conferencing solutions, as well as data, IP telephony, video and CCTV. PrimeTel’s intervention in this case is minimal and the customer has the flexibility to apply any routing protocol, IP addressing scheme, or QoS over the network. By using advanced failover mechanisms like HSRP, the customer can secure his/her setup from any kind of disaster.

International Private Lines(IPL)

International Private Lines (IPL) is a reliable, point-to-point network service for carriers and service providers developing protocol independent networks for multinational corporations and global business operators

IPL solutions provide high quality, cost-effective and efficient communications in a secure private network. It is a dedicated, protected SDH circuit that provides a clear transmission channel for voice, data or video.

PoP – PoP

IPL can be provisioned between two Points of Presence (PoP-PoP) on the PrimeTel network, for instance between Moscow and Frankfurt or between Athens and London. The standard transmission speeds cover the range from 2 Mbps up to and including 622 Mbps: E1, E3, STM-1 and STM-4. In some countries, DS3 can be delivered as well. Circuits with transmissions speeds below 2 Mbps and in excess of 622 Mbps can also be provided in some locations.

End – End

The IPL Service can also be provided as an End-to-End Service, extending the IPL PoP-PoP Service to one or more customer sites. The End-to-End Service is implemented by connecting a Customer Site to the nearest PoP on PrimeTel’s network via the Local Access facilities of a pre-selected local access provider.

PrimeTel Wholesale IP-VPN Service is a secure, cost-effective IP-based access service offered for carriers and ISPs. It is also available on a global scale through PrimeTel's partnerships. PrimeTel Wholesale IP-VPN enables carriers and ISP's to extend the reach of their own Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) network and thereby provide MPLS VPN's outside their own network reach. The network allows point-to-multipoint IP connectivity and wide area transmission solutions.

PrimeTel Wholesale IP-VPN is a transparent MPLS service that supports Quality of Service (QoS), enabling your customers to use data, voice and video service at the required quality, regardless of location. Ethernet Services provided by PrimeTel enable Telecommunications Service Providers to Link their Points of Presence (PoPs) either between themselves or to third party Points of Presence. This is achieved using the Ethernet technology, which ensures security, speed, cost-effectiveness and flexibility in data transmission. In order to enable the setting up of links both at Local and Long Distance levels, 2 Basic Options have been set up for Ethernet Services:

• E-Line (Metro Ethernet) for links at a Metropolitan level
• WE-Line (Wide Area Ethernet), for links at a Long Distance level.

These Services operate at Layer2 and no special routes or terminal equipment are required.

Two link modes are available: Point to Point (P2P) & Point to Multipoint (P2MP)

Service Speeds: The services are offered at a wide range of access speeds ranging from 1Mbps to 10 Gbps, where the speeds of the individual logical circuits per point of presence range from 1Mbps to 1 Gbps.
