T-SENIORITY
T-Seniority is an innovative ICT-solution especially fitted in areas of public interest which directly address ICT for accessibility, ageing and social integration, reinforcing both European and existing national initiatives. T-Seniority will be set-up in the daily living environment of elderly users in order to support their personal autonomy, using as main mean the TV channel. This daily living environment will include home environment but also create a closer relation with carers (formal and informal) with support applications and services under the categories of: Daily Life activities, Social Integration; Living more Protected and Supported while on the move.
The project is partially funded by the ICT Policy Support Programme (or ICT PSP), which is under the Competitive and Innovation Programme (CIP). The project consortium consists of fourteen partners from the industry, research institutes, foundations and universities from seven different European countries. The partners include IDI EIKON, who is the project coordinator (SPAIN), Impulsa TDT (SPAIN), Eurona (SPAIN), Regione Toscana (ITALY), University of Siena (ITALY), ALTEC TELECOMS (GREECE), The Prefecture of Thessaloniki (GREECE), Theotokos Foundation (GREECE), DigiTV (UNITED KINGDOM), FNAQPA (FRANCE), PrimeTel (CYPRUS), e-ISOTIS (CYPRUS/GREECE), Medineuvo (FINLAND) and Tampere City (FINLAND).
The Pilot testing sessions have been arranged at the different sites of the partners in order to prove concepts, applications, services, devices and technologies as well as to gather continuous feedback from users.
The main objective is to significantly improve the quality of life and ensure efficient health and social care for the ageing population by specifying and demonstrating innovative ICT enabled products and services.
