SARACEN

SARACEN (Socially Aware, collaboRative, scAlable Coding mEdia distribution) is another European project funded by the EU Seventh Framework programme. The SARACEN project proposes P2P architectures for media streaming using social networking tools to enhance personalization of content search and experience.

The project started in January 2010 and will last 3 years, until December 2012. The project coordinator of the relevant project is ATOS Origin (Spain) whilst the consortium consists of 9 partners including Institute of Communication and Computer Systems ICCS (Greece), INESC – Inovação – Instituto de Novas Tecnologias INOV (Portugal), PrimeTel PLC (Cyprus), Koç Üniversitesi KOÇ (Turkey), Queen Mary University of London (UK), Kendra Foundation (UK) CTVC (UK) and Nimonia TV NTV (Cyprus).
